HOW IT STARTED
Our story began in 2008 – when she thought he looked like a fireman and he thought she had a strong personality. He was more right than she was.
Married in 2010. Found personal relationships with Jesus after struggling through infertility. IVF twins born in 2013. Miracle baby in 2016. And a surprise in 2019. The Lord has been good to us.
Miranda grew up tent camping with her family. Ryan grew up cruising the Atlantic with his. What better way to combine the two lives than with a travel trailer – with the amenities of home and an outdoor adventure. Massively pregnant with baby #4 and in a glamping tent in Pennsylvania, Miranda finally talked Ryan into looking into buying a camper. And the rest, as they say, is history.
THE JOURNEY SO FAR

Massively pregnant with baby #4, Miranda finally talked Ryan into looking at campers. We were staying in a glamping tent and something about that trip made it click. What started as a casual conversation ended up changing the entire direction of our lives.

A 2016 Keystone Passport 3290BH. Almost 37 feet, water-damaged, and full of anxiety. It wasn’t the dream – but it cracked the door open. We saw enough of the life on the other side to know we wanted more of it.

The world was still shut down. We were camping in winter coats in Northeast Ohio. We looked at each other and just – left. Nineteen days. Ohio to Florida to Iowa to pick up puppy Charlotte and back home again. We came back different. Something had changed and we both knew it.

We did our homework this time. The 2022 Jayco Redhawk 31F was the right rig – and it proved it by taking our family across the country more than once. Every trip, the idea of going full-time got a little less crazy and a little more inevitable.

Somewhere in a small town in the Colorado Rockies, we stopped talking about it and decided. Yes, it was crazy. But we knew we’d regret it if we didn’t. We got home about a week later and listed the house. It was under contract within 24 hours.

Thirteen years in that house. Gone in a month. We picked up our 2025 Alliance Valor 44V14, moved out of the house and into the rig, and on June 13th we pulled out of the driveway for the last time. No safety net. Just faith, four kids, two dogs, a gecko, and the open road.

OUR WHY
We created Mile Markers & Memories to share the highs, lows, and honest moments of full-time RV living. From how we roadschool to what we pack for long drives, we hope our story inspires and equips other families to chase a slower, more intentional life – whether for a weekend or a season.
Showing our kids how magnificent our Creator is one National Park, big city, new church experience, or small town at a time.
THE RIGS

2020-2021
Our first. Almost 37 feet of water-damaged, anxiety-inducing learning curve. It wasn't pretty - but it started everything.

2022 - 2025
The rig that took us across the country more than once. Four kids, two dogs, a gecko, and more miles than we can count. This one made full-time feel real.

2025 - Present
Home. A 46-foot fifth-wheel toy hauler with a garage we turned into a kids' room. The rig we saved up for, prayed over, and drove away in on June 13th. We're not looking back.
BRAND PARTNERSHIPS
